Virtual Dashboard brings your iPhone and iPad sensors to life, offering a range of functionalities to create personalized dashboards. The app includes various gauges such as:
- Speedometer (with peak hold)
- Odometer (resettable distance travelled)
- GPS Altimeter (absolute altitude)
- Barometric Altimeter (relative altitude)
- Accelerometer (with peak hold)
- Artificial Horizon (pitch and roll)
- Compass (magnetic heading and true track indicator)
- Elapsed time (average speed)
Users can easily customize their dashboards by arranging the different gauges to suit their preferences. Additionally, a navigational map feature allows for seamless integration with resizable gauge overlays. Map options include road, bike, nautical chart, satellite, topographic, and survey modes.
The map functionality displays users' current coordinates, track, heading, and breadcrumb markers as they move. It also provides the ability to set destinations with metrics like distance, bearing, direction to steer, and estimated time of arrival (ETA).
Further features include searching for points of interest or addresses on the map, as well as the ability to tailor units, map attributes, and gauge behavior. Users can choose from a variety of themes available through in-app purchases to personalize their experience.
For enhanced performance, users can connect an external MFI GPS device—specifically supported models like the Bad Elf GPS units—to receive faster updates within the app.
